How Did I Get Here, And Where Is The Next Turn?

Greetings and salutations to all who deem this worthy of your time...

Have you ever had a day you would like to wrap up in bubble wrap and put in a box so nothing and no one can touch it? You want to save it so you can bring it out on blue days and get a smile.

I had one of those days yesterday, one I would like to encapsulate so it stays fresh from the ravages of time. It's too late, of course, because 30 minutes later, it was already fading around the edges.

For the first time in 35 years, I was actually in the same room with the Punk, having lunch, talking and laughing.

From the first hug hello, to the last hug see ya later, it was 2 hours I would have liked to encase in plastic to save forever. Couldn't, of course, but he did take a couple of pics he didn't let me see yet. I will wait very impatiently until he gets around to sending them to me.

Don't go there.

The Punk is my dear friend, nothing more. We are both married, have our lives. It's hard to explain to those who refuse to believe that people can be friends regardless of the gender issues. Mature adults should be able to handle that without letting hormones run amok, especially when they are both freakin' old farts, right?

It was a fun couple of hours that I look forward to repeating in the future when we get the chance. Of course, I will have to give the key lime pie a pass then, as well as the 'ignoring calories' part. I felt like I gained back half the 97 pounds I've lost. He can eat what ever he wants. He's gotten too damned skinny! HEHE!
