How Did I Get Here, And Where Is The Next Turn?

Greetings and salutations to all who deem this worthy of your time...

A few quick updates. My friend's mom is home. Chemo will be starting soon. We are all optimistic... keep praying, sending positive vibes, what ever your thing... all are welcome, and thankyou in advance.

Also, when you logged in here, you may have noticed the 'featured' column... NO FREAKIN' WAY!!!!!!!! To the ReachBy folks... I wish I could hug you all!!! You have no idea how that sent this old chick's heart to flutter!! I love you guys!

Ok, now, to the Punk... uhm, did you not recognize your ve-hicle deeeescribed, boy?? And, as I told you today, my own dad's name was Robert Lee... so we are Southern Redneck through and through... remember as well that I had an Aunt Bobbie Jo... whom I am named for??? You can't get more Southern Redneck than Kandy Jo, now can ya?

Ok, now, with that out of the way...

I am now into almost 76 hours tobacco free... the little electronic thingy is really working to keep the edge off the craving... but I still want a friggin' smoke... I miss the whole process of lighting up, watching the smoke curl... but I don't miss the taste or smell... so that is helping a bit. My darling son has NOT smoked in the house since I asked nor in my car, and when I went out to take him to work (his baby is still out of sorts at the moment) he actually turned his back to me, and quickly snuffed his cigarette... maybe, if he sees I mean business this time, he'll give them up, too.

I still haven't replaced the scales, yet, but I am seeing some progress in the funky, wrinkled belly thing. I should be at around 90 pounds gone... maybe even 1 or 2 more... I'm now walking a little over a mile every morning... I haven't worked out how much more yet. I just added another loop of the block. I know, it's not that big a deal to most, but hey, for someone who couldn't walk around in a store without a cart to lean on when she got winded, I think I'm doing pretty damned good.

The husband passed the physical for the new company, so we are getting a bit excited for that. Way to go, Hon!! More good mojo there would be greatly appreciated. So, that's it for the updates for a while... expect somethin' dif when next we meet, me darlin' readers...
